Entirely hilarious on "The Daily Show" (as well as the little-seen "Blackballed"), Rob Corddry was due to hit Hollywood sometime soon. And now he’s been hired to play Ben Stiller‘s best buddy in an upcoming remake of the romantic comedy "The Heartbreak Kid."

From Variety: "Rob Corddry has been set to play Ben Stiller’s best friend in the untitled comedy that Peter and Bobby Farrelly are directing at DreamWorks. The film, inspired by "The Heartbreak Kid," also stars Michelle Monaghan and Malin Akerman. Lensing is under way in San Francisco. The Farrellys wrote the script, inspired by Neil Simon‘s original.

Stiller plays a man who hastily marries a young woman he thinks is his perfect mate. As he watches her turn into a nightmare on their honeymoon, he meets another woman who may be his real soulmate."
