Morris Named Pixar Producer

Jim Morris, the former LucasFilm Digital president, will start his job as a producer at Pixar Feb. 14, Variety reports. Morris will oversee Pixar’s first self-produced projects. Disney and Pixar have a six picture deal where they split production cost 50-50, but that the deal will expire with "Cars." In his previous job, Morris was in charge of effects and sound divisions Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound.
