Martin to Return for Another Cheap "Dozen"

Variety shares some news that should come as little surprise: Steve Martin has signed on for a sequel to his family hit "Cheaper By the Dozen." Screenwriter Sam Harper ("Just Married") is at work on the screenplay, while director Shawn Levy ("The Pink Panther") will give up the director’s chair to Adam Shankman ("The Pacifier"). Word is that Bonnie Hunt and Piper Perabo will be returning, although the status of Hilary Duff is still undetermined. The sequel is expected to hit production by June.
