John Vernon: 1932-2005

John Vernon, the Canadian actor best known for his role as the evil Dean Wormer in "Animal House," died in his sleep Thursday after complications from Heart Surgery. He was 72. Wormer made his film debut in 1967 in "Point Blank;" he also appeared in such varied work as "Dirty Harry," Alfred Hitchcock’s "Topaz," "The Outlaw Josey Wales," and "I’m Gonna Git You Sucka."
