Is Angelina Jolie the "Sin City 2" Surprise Star?

by | April 6, 2007 | Comments

A while back we heard the gossip that Angelina Jolie would be signing on to appear in "Sin City" — but the actress was pretty pregnant at the time, plus Robert Rodriguez was pretty busy on "Grindhouse." So what’s the deal now?

One source compares some quotes from "Sin City" star Rosario Dawson and makes the assumption that Mr. Rodriguez wants Angelina’s involvement on "Sin City 2" kept a big secret. Which makes no sense because every movie geek with a modem has already heard the whispers.

I really wish we knew who our new co-star is already.

Seems that a year ago Dawson mentioned Jolie by name, but in a more recent interview she had to keep mum regarding a certain female co-star. Scintillating. Further conjecture indicates that Rachel Weisz was discussed for a role in the next "Sin City" installment … but I’ll just wait for the official cast announcements and leave the gossip for those that love it.
