Has McG Found Terminator 4's John Connor?

AICN's sources say it's Christian Bale.

Could McG — director of the upcoming Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins — have already found his John Connor?

That’s what Ain’t It Cool News is suggesting. The site’s “behind-the-scenes god,” tipster RoRo, cited “an extremely trusted source” last Wednesday, reporting that none other than Christian Bale has been cast as the machine-fighting, future-saving hero of the franchise.

It’s just a rumor, obviously, but if it’s true, this would be something of a coup for McG — and would also go a long way toward silencing the groans of Terminator fans who were less than pleased with the news of the director’s involvement. Who wouldn’t want to see Bale kicking Terminator butt?
