The producers of Rob Zombie‘s recent Halloween reboot have lined up their next project.

Variety reports that Trancas International Films, Left Hook Entertainment, and Yellowsand Pictures have optioned Hurt, a “horror thriller” from screenwriters Anthony Grieco and Jeff Drongowski. Adam Finberg has been chosen to direct. The deal was struck on Halloween (spooky!), making it one of the last sales before the strike deadline. From the article:

Project revolves around a group of estranged best friends who are reunited after another commits suicide. Gathering ends up becoming a bloodbath because meeting was set up as retribution.

Hurt will be a coming-out party for a number of its principals — not only was the script Grieco and Drongowski’s first sale, but the movie will mark Finberg’s feature directing debut.
