Eleniak Waxes Rhapsodic About..."Under Siege 3"?

While former box-office draw Steven Seagal peddles energy drinks and attempts to launch a credible career as a blues singer, Ain’t it Cool News reports that his "Under Siege" costar Erika Eleniak — according to an exclamation-filled post on her site — is head-over-heels for a proposed script for, unbelievably, "Under Siege 3."

You may remember the first "Under Siege," which sold tons of tickets during its 1992 theatrical run; with its combination of an at-his-peak Seagal, a memorably unclothed Eleniak, and a premise described as "’Die Hard‘ on a boat" (during a period in which seemingly every third action film was "Die Hard"-on-a-something), getting folks in the theater was like shooting fish in a barrel.

Not so 1995’s "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory," which arrived after Seagal’s career had cooled, and helped send the ponytailed wonder into the direct-to-DVD wilderness. Making news of a third installment even weirder is Seagal’s recent "pseudo-interview" with Ain’t it Cool News, in which he laments the overall quality of his recent body of work, eagerly anticipates the end of his contractual obligation to Sony, and does a little dishing on potential future projects, such as, um, "Genghis Khan."
