Anton Corbijn to Helm Joy Division Biopic

Music video director and accomplished photographer Anton Corbijn has signed on to direct a biopic about Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis, Variety reports. The pic is based on a biography written by the late singer’s widow, Deborah Curtis, titled "Touching from a Distance" and chronicles Curtis’ life from his teenage years up to his death. The band New Order was formed from the remaining band members.
