When is it OK to sequelize a Jim Carrey flick without Jim Carrey? When you have someone like Steve Carell in the lead role this time around. You’ll no doubt remember Mr. Carell’s brief-yet-hilarious turn in "Bruce Almighty," which means you’ll probably be interested in the semi-sequel "Evan Almighty." Courtesy of USA Today we have some photos and the set report, and from Dark Horizons we get some reactions from a guy who worked as an extra during the flick’s Virginia shoot.

Written by the "Click" guys and directed by the man who brought you "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," "Dragonfly," and "Liar Liar," "Evan Almighty" hits theaters next June.
