Critical Consensus: "Aeon Flux" Not Screened. Draw Your Own Conclusions

by | December 1, 2005 | Comments

A cast that includes two Oscar winners (Charlize Theron and Frances McDormand) and some top-flight supporting players (Pete Postlethwaite and Jonny Lee Miller). A big-budget remake of a visionary, unique MTV cartoon. The sophomore film by a director (Karyn Kusama) whose debut ("Girlfight") won high praise (it’s at 89 percent on the Tomatometer). So why wasn’t "Aeon Flux," this week’s only wide release, screened for critics? Uh, no points for guessing.

All we can say at this point is that "Flux" tells the tale of a futuristic assassin who lands herself in a world of trouble. We’d love to tell you what the critics thought of this one, but we can’t, because they haven’t seen it. So, dear and loyal readers of Critical Consensus, I ask that you guess what the Tomatometer will be. You won’t win anything, other than mad props and respect from us here at Rotten Tomatoes.
